Hi! My name is Lesley and am the founder and owner of Peer Hopes!
Don't worry though there is more to me than that!
I am a life coach and certified in Texas as a peer specialist and supervisor and I have had a journey to get to here to this place. I have had ups and downs, and merry go rounds. I have been in hospitals and psych clinics since I can remember, but now I am walking the road of dreams and recovery for over five years without mind altering substances besides my meds, suicide attempts, or being hospitalized.
I will take you down the path and show you what I know.
I will tell you though, it won't always be easy, but it will all be worth it!
I live the life I love and I want you to know that for yourself!
I am a CPS from Austin Texas, a certified NAMI Peer, a certified United Way hotline call taker, schooled In the Copeland Center’s Wellness Recovery Action Plan, trained in mental health crisis de-escalation, a retired Realtor of 25 years, and a wife. I also struggled with Anxiety, Depression and Perfectionism. I’ve worked extensively with young adults in life transitions and understand their challenges. My personal belief is that Recovery CAN be a destination at the end of a journey with proper process, commitment and self-agency. It is within all of our reach. I’m passionate that peer work is not only effective, but vital to Recovery, and I look forward to joining you in the process of moving beyond diagnosis, helping you to hone a vision for your future, to build the necessary scaffolding to achieve it, and to walk with you toward the destination you imagine. We can do this!
